Best shoes ever
I have a closet full of Hoka, Saucony, New Balance, and North Face shoes. They’re all good shoes, and over the years I’ve figured out which styles from each brand work best for my feet. So, when I bought these Nortiv8 shoes because of an online deal, I wasn’t exactly expecting them to become my new favorites. But here we are. They’re comfortable, they look great, and I’m on my feet most of the day for work in healthcare. Most days, I get busy enough that I forget I’m even wearing them. The biggest difference I’ve noticed, though, is how my feet feel at the end of the day. With these shoes, my feet just feel better. When I first bought them, I rotated them with my Hokas and Sauconys. Lately, I’ve noticed myself reaching for the Nortiv8s more and more. At this rate, I’m afraid my other shoes are going to start wondering if I’ve abandoned them. A few things I particularly like: Wide toe box I have wide feet, and I really like the extra room in the toe box. I never feel pressure squeezing the sides of my feet. With most other brands, I need to buy a wide version. These are regular-width Nortiv8s, yet they actually fit my feet better than many of my wide shoes. The heel tab I love the slightly bent heel tab. I almost never untie my shoes, so this little feature is surprisingly useful. My foot slips right in without a struggle, but once they’re on, they still feel secure. It’s a small thing, but apparently I’m at the age where small things bring me great joy. My feet at the end of the day This is really the big one. After being on my feet all day, I don’t take these shoes off and think, “Well, apparently I walked 12,000 steps today.” My feet just feel good. I’m not sure exactly what Nortiv8 did to accomplish that, but I’m grateful they did. I also love backpacking, so I’m now looking at some Nortiv8 hiking boots. Apparently, one online deal has turned into a potential new relationship with an entire shoe brand. I’ll definitely be buying more. I’ll let you know how the hiking boots work out—assuming my neglected Hokas and Sauconys don’t stage a protest first.
